![]() The concept of mounting a compressed filesystem to a directory is normal for Linux as well, so the same logic applies. I use Rar.exe for that - to split up the files. One thing I've run into, though, is that it's best to keep file sizes to under 100 Mb for a network or USB transfer. On Windows, I set the default TCP packet size to be larger, like 16348.
